The Red Raiders travel to Minnesota again this weekend to take on Bethel University and Saint Mary's University.
Scouting Bethel:
The Royals are 2-1 after the fall portion of the season. The Raiders are their first competition of the spring semester. They have a relatively young squad with 2 freshman, 5 sophomores, 3 juniors, and one senior.
Bethel was 3rd in the MIAC last year with an 8-2 record and lost to Carleton in the MIAC Playoff Championships. They were 20-5 overall.
Scouting Saint Mary's:
The Cardinals are 3-0 in 2019-2020 with wins over Martin Luther (MN), 9-0, University of Northwestern (MN), 8-1, and UW-Superior, 8-1. They will also face the University of St. Thomas Friday before they face Northwestern Saturday.
Saint Mary's was 6-4 in the MIAC and 14-7 overall in 2018-19.
Scouting NWC:
The Raiders are 2-1 on the year after splitting their last weekend of matches 1-1.
Annika Spirgath is 6-1 in singles play on the year and
Jacque Ingram is 5-2 in singles play. The combinations of Spirgath and
Emma Van Drie along with
Jessica Wilson and
Abby Petrick are both 2-0 in doubles play.
The Raiders will take on Bethel Friday night at 6pm in Fridley, Minn. and Saint Mary's in Owatonna, Minn. Saturday at 1pm.
