Men's Basketball Looks To Extend Win Streak

Raiders Host Hastings on Saturday

Game Time... The Northwestern College men's basketball team will host Hastings in GPAC action this weekend. Tip-off at the Bultman Center is set for 4pm. Northwestern is currently tied for fifth in the GPAC with a 3-2 league record, 6-2 overall; Hastings is 0-4 in the GPAC, 3-5 overall.

All-Time...Northwestern holds a 36-22 lead in the all-time series, dating back to the 1985-86 season. The Raiders have won three straight in the rivalry and are 6-4 in their last 10 games against Hastings.

The Broncos have dropped four straight games since beginning the season with a 3-1 record. Losses to Midland, Dakota Wesleyan, Jamestown and Concordia has put Hastings with an 0-4 league record, 3-5 overall. 

Gavers in his eighth season with the Broncos program, filling the role of head coach after a 22-year career as a high school coach at Grand Island. Gavers returns one starter, five players, from a 2019-20 team that placed eighth in the GPAC with an 8-12 record, 16-16 overall.

The Raiders look to extend their win streak to a season-best three games when they host they host Hastings this weekend. Northwestern is coming off back-to-back road wins over Presentation and Briar Cliff. They are in fifth place in the GPAC at 3-2, 6-2 overall.
