Game Time...The Northwestern College men's basketball team makes the short trip south to play Briar Cliff in a conference match-up Wednesday night. Tip-off at the Newman Flanagan Center is slated for 8pm. Northwestern bring a 2-2 conference record in to the match-up, 5-2 overall; BCU is 1-2 in league play, 3-4 overall.

All-Time...Northwestern leads the long-time rivalry 63-52, dating back to the first match-up played during the 1967-68 season. The teams have split the last 10 games; Northwestern won both games played last year (85-83 OT, 89-76).

The Chargers fell to Dordt last time out, 86-79, in a game played in Sioux Center prior to the break. They have lost three of their last four and are 1-2 in the GPAC, 3-4 overall. Briar Cliff earned an 88-79 win over Mount Marty for their lone win in GPAC play. 

Svagera is in his fourth season as the head of the Chargers program and spent six years prior as the top assistant at BCU. He returns three starters and 11 players from 2019-20 team that went 7-13 in the GPAC, 16-14 overall. They were picked eighth in the preseason poll.
