Hoekman To Play Volleyball At Northwestern

Bryn Hoekman (Hadley, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Northwestern College.

2021 VBall Recruit - HoekmanHoekman is a 6'1" middle / right-side hitter who played two years for the Murray County Central High School volleyball team. Hoekman earned all-conference honors in 2019 and ranked second on the team in kills in 2020.

"Bryn is a long, physical attacker and blocker who has a fast arm that allows her to finish points well," commented Northwestern Head Coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. "Bryn has a big heart for her teammates and will be a blessing to our team and campus. We are excited to have Bryn commit to being a Red Raider."

Hoekman was part of a Southwest Minnesota Club team that finished with a 19-1 record and placed third in the American Division of the state tournament. They finished 15th at nationals in Orlando, Fla., going 12-2 at the national tournament. Hoekman plans to study Nursing at Northwestern and is the daughter of Jim and Heather.
