Raiders Look To Bounce Back After Last-Second Loss At Morningside

Northwestern, Presentation To Tip-Off at 3pm

Game Time... Coming off a tough, last-second loss at Morningside, the Northwestern College men's basketball team looks to bounce back with a non-conference match-up at Presentation this weekend in Aberdeen, S.D. Tip-off on Saturday, Nov. 28, is scheduled for 3pm.

    Northwestern owns a 4-2 record; Presentation is 3-5 this season.

All-Time... Northwestern is 5-0 all-time against the Saints, dating back to the first game played between the two teams in 1995-96. They last played in 2017, resulting in a 108-92 win for the Raiders.

Members of the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA), Presentation brings a 3-5 record into this weekend. They are 1-4 against GPAC teams, defeating Briar Cliff and falling to Mount Marty, Jamestown, Dordt and Dakota Wesleyean. Presentation has won two straight, defeating both Yellowstone Christian and Trinity Bible, in the last two weeks.

Tyrrell is in his second year as the head of the Saints program, taking over prior to the 2019-20 season after a four-year stint as head coach at Vermont Tech. Last year, Tyrrel led Presentation to a 3-27 overall record, 0-14 (8th place) in the NSAA. Two starters, five players return from last year; Presentation was picked to finish eighth among eight teams in the NSAA Preseason poll.

The Raiders had their two-game win streak snapped last time out, falling to Morningside 79-77 in a GPAC game played Tuesday night in Sioux City. Northwestern has two wins over teams from the NSAA (Bellevue and Viterbo) played in the first two games of the season.
