Raiders At Jamestown For Mid-Week Match-Up

Game Time... The Northwestern College women's basketball team is set to make the long trip to Jamestown, N.D. for a mid-week match-up against the University of Jamestown. Tip-off on Wednesday, Nov. 18, is set for 6pm. Both teams are 0-1 in the GPAC; Northwestern 0-4 overall, Jamestown is 2-1.

All-Time...The Raiders have won the last four games against Jamestown, sweeping both games in each of the last two years. Northwestern is 8-2 over the last 10 against the Jimmies and leads the all-time series 12-4, dating back to the first ever game back in the 2001-02.

The Jimmies opened the season with a pair of wins in non-conference play, defeating Presentation and Dickinson State. Last time out, however, they lost to Morningside in the GPAC opener for both teams, 68-61. 

Sankey is in his third season as the Jimmies head coach and returns four starters, seven players, from a 2019-20 team that finished seventh in the GPAC with a 9-13 record, 16-15 overall. They were picked seventh in the GPAC preseason poll.

The Raiders lost their GPAC opener last time out, falling to Concordia 83-72, in Seward, Neb. Northwestern was down by as many as 18 in the first half but came back to within five in the second half. Emilee Danner poured in a career-high 32 points, draining seven three-pointers.
