Women's Soccer Hosts Midland

Raiders have won two of their last three games

Game Time...Coming off a win over Presentation last Friday, the Northwestern College women's soccer team will host Midland Wednesday night in conference play. The game will be played on Korver Field and begins at 6:45pm.

Northwestern is in ninth place in the current GPAC standings with a 4-6 record, 4-6-1 overall; Midland is in sixth place with a 4-3-1 record.

All-Time...Wednesday's match will be the 28th in the rivalry; Northwestern is 10-15-2 all-time and has lost its last two against Midland. Last year, the Raiders were defeated 3-0 and are 2-7-1 in their last 10 vs the Warriors.

The Warriors are unbeaten in their last four matches, defeating both Mount Marty and College of Saint Mary and playing to a double overtime tie against Briar Cliff and Concordia. They are currently sixth in the GPAC with a 4-3-3 record with two games left in the regular season.

Jarosik, the reigning GPAC Coach of the Year, is in his eighth season as the Midland head coach. Hired in 2013, Jarosik owns a 72-28-15 career record with the Warriors. Last year, he guided Midland to the GPAC regular and postseason titles, going 11-1 in the GPAC, 17-2-2 overall. They lost in the first round of the national tournament to Rocky Mountain in penalty kicks.
