The Northwestern College men's soccer team scored a 6th minute goal from Adam De Boer to defeat Doane 1-0 in a GPAC match played tonight at the NWC Soccer Complex. The Raiders picked up their fifth straight win against Doane. 

Northwestern bettered its record to 4-3 in the GPAC, 6-3 overall, while Doane falls to 3-6 in the GPAC, 3-6 overall. 

How It Happened...

The Raiders held of a positive start for Doane. The Raiders held off Doane players on the dribble and off their first counter attack, earned a corner.

Matt Roll lifted a great ball in off the corner to an Adam De Boer towering header in the 6th minute. It was De Boer's first career goal and Roll's third assist on the year.

The Numbers...

Northwestern had a slight edge in total shots (7-6) and had several chances that were blocked by Doane defenders. 

Shots on goal were 3-1 in favor of Northwestern. 

Ezekiel Foltz recorded one save and earned the shutout on the night.
