Playing for the first time in two weeks, the Northwestern College women's soccer team lost in the final moments of the second overtime to Dordt, 1-0, in a conference match-up tonight in Orange City.
Katherine Kooiman netted the game-winner off an assist from Emma Visser with less than three minutes remaining in the second overtime to give the visiting Defenders the victory.
Northwestern totaled seven shots on goal, four by
Emily Hurley, two by
Audrey Leyen and one from
Anna Van Zee.
Kaelin Alons stopped 10 Dordt shots as the Raiders goalkeeper.
Dordt totaled 11 shots, four by Cailey Terpstra and three each by Kooiman and Alaina VanZalen. Elianna Van Hulzen compiled seven saves for the Defenders.
