Callahan To Compete In Track and Field At Northwestern

Joseph Callahan (Eyota, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his track and field career at Northwestern College next fall.

2021 T/Field Recruit CallahanCallahan has competed four years for the Dover-Eyota High School track and field team heading into his final season this spring. Callahan won the conference championship and placed fifth at the Minnesota State High School League in the discus as a junior. He is a two-time sectional champion in the discus and earned all-conference honors two years. Callahan has personal bests of 45'6 in the shot put and 149'4" in the discus. An outstanding student, Callahan plans to study Exercise Science or Nursing at Northwestern. He is the son of Chris and Holly.

"We are excited to have Joe join our throws crew next year," said Northwestern Head Coach Scott Bahrke. "He brings experience competing at the state level and a great work ethic to our youthful throws crew. Joe has big goals
