Second-ranked Northwestern proved to be too much at the the net in picking up a 3-0 sweep against York (25-8, 25-13, 25-18) in a non-conference match-up played tonight at the Bultman Center.
The Red Raiders improve to 17-0 on the year as they head into the heart of ther conference schedule, beginning tomorrow against 13th-ranked Jamestown. Northwestern earned their second win of the season against the Panthers and picked up its ninth sweep of the season.
Northwestern hit .329 for the match, nearly .500 over the first two sets, and held a 6-1 advantage in blocks. Three Red Raiders,

A.J. Kacmarynski and
Bekah Horstman, all totaled eight kills each. Horstman hit .727 and was in on four blocks.
Makenzie Fink put down seven kills and
Emily Van Ginkel added six kills and two blocks.
Up by just one (7-6) in the first set, Northwestern scored 18 of the next 20 points for a 25-8 win.
Jadeyn Schutt served 10 consecutive points, including two aces, and
Lacey Wacker served six points with two aces in the clinching run.
Northwestern began set two with a 5-1 run before the teams traded points for a 13-10 Red Raider lead. Van Den Bosch's squad closed with a 12-3 run to take a 2-0 set lead, 25-13.
The Red Raiders fell behind early, their only deficit of the match, but came back to tie it at nine. A kill by Van Ginkel put Northwestern up for good as they won the final set, 25-18.
Wacker put up 33 assists,
Emily Strasser totaled nine digs and Wacker, Schutt and Fink all had three aces.
