First serve on Saturday, Sept. 14 is scheduled for 3pm. Northwestern, one of four teams still unbeaten on the year, is 2-0 in the GPAC, 13-0 overall. Mount Marty is 0-1 in conference play, 5-9 overall.Â

The Lancers concluded their four-match weekend with a sweep over Bethel (Kan.) at the Peru State Invite held Sept. 6-7 in Peru, Neb. They lost to the hosts, 3-1, and also dropped matches to Sterling (Kan.) and Mayville State (N.D.) prior to its win over Bethel. Mount Marty is 5-9 overall, 0-1 in conference action, losing to Briar Cliff in straight sets at home on Sept. 4.Â
Hebenstreit is in his fifth season as the Lancers head coach, taking over the program in 2015. He spent 18 years as the head coach at Norfolk High School prior to joining the Lancers staff. Hebenstreit returns five starters, nine players from a 2018 team that went 0-16 in the GPAC, 3-26 overall. They were picked 12th in the conference preseason coaches' poll.

Northwestern earned a four-set win over 19th-ranked Dordt last time out, dropping the first set (25-22) against the Defenders before taking the last three, 25-13, 25-20, 25-15.
