Cuvelier To Play Basketball At Northwestern

Carter Cuvelier (Parkersburg, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Northwestern College this fall.

Cuvelier is a 6'5" forward who had a standout, four-year career playing for Aplington-Parkersburg High School. Cuvelier averaged 17 points, six rebounds and over three assists in leading his team to a 17-5 record last year. He earned second team all-state honors and was a McDonald's All-American nominee. Cuvelier was a first team all-state pick and state tournament all-tournament team selection after scoring 19 points per game and leading his team to a third place finish as a junior. Cuvelier plans to major in Business Management at Northwestern and is the son of Tim and Shelli.

"Carter is a versatile basketball player who has been coached well and has played against outstanding competition," stated Northwestern Head Coach Kris Korver. "He is coachable, has great work ethic and knows what it takes to be successful. We look forward to investing in Carter and watching him grow in his time with us at Northwestern. He will be a real asset to our program and to the entire Northwestern community."
