Matthew Horstman (Urbandale, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his track and field career at Northwestern College next fall.

Horstman earned a combined three letters running track and playing basketball for Des Moines Christian High School. He has personal bests of 15.58 in the 110m hurdles, 55.8 in the 400m and 1:01.67 in the 400m hurdles. Horstman plans to major in computer science at Northwestern and is the son of Morris and Sandra.

"We are excited for Matthew to join our hurdles crew," stated Northwestern Head Track and Field Coach Scott Bahrke. "He has a lot of potential and we look forward to working with Matthew over the next four years."
