Ray To Play Basketball At Northwestern

Landon Ray (Ida Grove, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Northwestern College next year.

Ray is a 5'9" guard who enjoyed a standout three-year career playing for the OA-BCIG High School basketball team. A first team all-conference selection, Ray averaged 13.9 points, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game in leading his team to the substate finals with an 18-5 record as a senior. He shot better than 55% from the field, 35% from the three-point arc, and earned all-Western Iowa honors two years. Ray is an honor roll student and plans to major in exercise science and criminal justice at Northwestern. He is the son of Mike and Devi.

"Landon is a tough player who knows how to compete," commented Northwestern Head Coach Kris Korver. "He can score the basketball and can also see the floor to create opportunities for his teammates. We look forward to having Landon join our Red Raider basketball team and the Northwestern campus community next fall."
