Wrestling Adds Two More to 2019/20 Class

Sam Copley (Denton, Neb.) and Elijah Blare (Hamill S.D.) have both committed to become Raider wrestlers in 2019/20. 

Copley, a 5'8'' and 138 pounder, will plan to wrestle at the 149 or 157 pound weight classes while at NWC. Sam is a four year letter winner and has a 136-51 record while at MIlford High School. He holds the school record for wins (136) and pins (90) and was a two-time conference champion. He also was district champion his junior year and finished 4th at state. 

Copley was also a three-time Academic All-State member and plans to study Actuarial Science while at NWC.

Blare, a 6'3'' and 220 pounder, will plan to wrestler at the 285 weight class while at NWC. Elijah was a two year letter winner and had a record of 65-40 while attending Winner High School. Blare was a team captain his senior season and earned multiple tournament honors including a 6th place finish at state.

Blare was a four-year honor roll member, three-year National Honor Society Member, and a four-year academic honor recipient. 

"Both of these young men are the kind of guys we love to build around," commented head coach Rik Dahl. They are both hard workers and are ready to commit to the process.
