Thomas Commits To Play Football At Northwestern

Josh Thomas (Union, Ill.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Thomas is a 6'1", 325-pound offensive lineman who played three seasons for Huntley High School. He was part of a team that reached the first round of the state playoffs and closed the year with 6-3 record. Thomas holds four different world records in powerlifting, set in 2017, including bench press, squat, deadlift and combined total. He plans to major in criminal justice or education at Northwestern and is the son of Bryan and Michelle.

"We are thrilled to have Josh join our Red Raider football team," commented Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. "He is a powerful offensive lineman who already has tremendous size. Josh will compete immediately and is a great addition to our o-line group."
