Emily Strasser hit a walkoff double with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Northwestern past Concordia 2-1 in game two of a doubleheader. The Red Raiders came up short in game one 10-2.
Northwestern improves to 9-7 in the GPAC, 16-19 overall, with six games left in the regular season.
Tied at one,
Devin Dreesen hit a leadoff double and was lifted for a courtesy runner,
Kelsey Den Hartog, who scored the game winner after a double by Strasser.
Emma Schnell (10-12) recorded the final three outs to earn the win in relief.

Shane Bouman's squad, giving up six hits and one run over the first six-plus innings. The freshman was replaced after giving up a leadoff double to Elanna Osthoff in the top of the seventh. Osthoff later came around to score on a sacrifice fly by MacKinsey Schmidt.
The Red Raiders grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when
Emily Bosch drilled a two-out double and scored after a triple by
Madison Beaver.
Strasser led Northwsestern at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI. Five other Red Raiders had one hit each.
Brittany Woolridge (11-2) lost for just the second time this season, giving up seven hits and two runs in 6.1 innings. Hhana Haro went 2-for-3 at the plate.
Concordia defeated the Red Raiders 10-2 in the opener behind the pitching of Camry Moore and a fifth-inning grand slam by MacKinsey Schmidt. Moore (9-7) scattered seven hits and yielded just two runs while striking out four in the full seven innings.
With the score 4-2, Concordia loaded the bases with three straight walks and Schmidt smacked the first pitch from Schnell over the left field fence to put her team up 8-2. The Bulldogs added runs in both the sixth and seventh innings.
Schnell (9-12) allowed 11 hits and five earned runs in seven innings.
Jennifer Boeve went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Dreesen added a two-run single in the fourth that trimmed the Concordia lead down to 4-2.
