Northwestern is currently in a tie for seventh place in the GPAC standings at 9-9, 15-19 overall. Dordt is 11th in the conference with a 2-16 record, 5-20 overall.

All-Time...Since 2007, Coach Wede's first season as the head of the Red Raider baseball program, Northwestern is 29-6 all-time against Dordt. They are 9-1 over the last 10 match-ups, including winning all four games last season.

The Defenders have lost six straight and eight of their last ten to fall into 11th place in the GPAC with a 2-16 record. They split against Midland in a four game set earlier this season for their wins in conference play. Last time out, they dropped both games to the Raiders on April 9th.

Schouten is in his 16th season as the head of the Defenders' baseball program, holding the position since the 2004 season. A former standout player with the Defenders, Schoten spent seven years as the assistant coach as well. He returns one starter (field), three starting pitchers and a total of 15 players from a 2018 team that went 7-19 in the GPAC, 10-26 overall.
