Raymon To Play Football At Northwestern

Garrett Raymon (Hills, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

A 5'11", 235-pound offensive / defensive lineman, Raymon played four years for the Hills-Beaver Creek High School football team. Raymon was named the District Lineman of the Year after posting 87 tackles, nine for a loss, and one quarterback sack. He helped lead his team to a 10-2 record and a sectional runner-up finish. Raymon was a three-time all-district pick and earned Worthington Globe All-Area honors. An academic all-state selection and honor roll student, Raymon plans to study biology at Northwestern. He is the son of Mark Raymon and Becky Byrne.

"Garrett is a disruptive force along the defensive line," said Northwestern head coach Matt McCarty. "He had a very solid high school career and proved to be a leader for his team. Garrett is a hard worker and we are excited to have him join the Red Raider family."
