"The numbers don't always reflect the details in the battle," commented head coach Jamie De Jong. "When we played Simpson on Friday, we were just a bit stronger and pretty easily took 8 of the 9 matches.  Saturday however, we matched up against Central, who proved to be much more competitive.  Both of our 1 (Ingram and Holscher)  and 2 (McGinnis and VanDrie) doubles teams had a great battle but both lost 6-8.   When we matched up for singles, 4 of the 6 matches ended up in tie breakers, of which we lost all of them.  It really could have gone either way but the Dutch pulled out on top for the 9-0 win.  My girls would really love to have that battle back.  Although it was a good experience, it was a disappointing loss for them.  This coming Saturday, March 30, we begin our GPAC play with Mount Marty College in Yankton, SD.  We have a week to prepare and hopefully the Raiders can bring home a win."
