Whitney Erickson (Story City, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Northwestern College next fall.

Erickson is a 5'10' middle / outside hitter who played two years for Roland-Story High School. Erickson received all-conference honors in leading her team to a 30-8 record where they lost in the regional semifinals. She averaged 1.5 kills per set and totaled 53 blocks as a senior. Voted team captain, Erickson is both an honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society. She plans to major in elementary education at Northwestern and is the daughter of Kurt and Stacey.

"Whitney is another great addition to our volleyball team and campus," stated Northwestern Head Coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. "She is a great teammate, knows how to lead and has a passion for the game of volleyball. Whitney has the versatility to play a number of different positions for us and we are excited to have her join our team."
