Sean Heeney (Sioux City, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his wrestling career at Northwestern College in 2019/20.

Heeney os a two-time state qualifier and a four-year letter winner at East High School. He went 124-54 in his career with a 34-11 mark his senior season. Heeney won 14 tournaments and amassed 826 team points while at East. 

"We love local guys, commented head coach Rik Dahl. "When they come on board with a ton of potential, that makes it even better. Sean is one of those guys. A talented, light weight guy from Sioux City East, Sean has a huge upside and a desire to excel. We feel strongly that he is the whole package and will add value in the room and around campus. Heeney is a talented young man with a desire to improve (and pour into the those around him). These are qualities we look for as we build a solid culture."

Heeney plans to study business while at Northwestern.
