Bryan To Join Red Raider Football Team

Cory Bryan (Jasper, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Bryan is a 6'2", 228-pound offensive / defensive lineman who played four years for the Garretson High School football team. Bryan totaled 44 tackles on defense and anchored an o-line that averaged 36 points per game, rushing for 3,244 yards last season. He earned all-state and all-conference honors after leading his team to the state semifinals with a 10-1 record. Bryan accounted for 84.5 tackles for his career and also was named all-conference as both a junior and sophomore. Named the team's most valuable lineman, Bryan plans to major in exercise science at Northwestern. He is the son of Dan and Cathy.

"We are excited to have Cory our defensive line position group," said Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. "He is a tough, physical player who plays strong at the point of attack. Cory has good leverage and will continue to excel over the course of his career at Northwestern."
