Levi Wiersma (
Yankton, S.D.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next year.

Wiersma is a 5'11", 200-pound middle linebacker who was a three-year starter for the Yankton High School football team. Wiersma, a first team all-state selection, totaled 123 tackles, 22 for a loss, three quarterback sacks and three interceptions in leading his team to the state semifinals last fall. He was named the team's most valuable defensive player and plans to major in Business at Northwestern. He is the son of Jason and Ruth.
"Levi is an outstanding addition to our football team," stated Northwestern Head Coach
Matt McCarty. "Levi was a standout playmaker in the middle of the defense for three years. He is physical, strong at the point of attack and is a proven winner. We are excited to have Levi join the Red Raider football team."
