All-State Quarterback Commits To Northwestern

Luke Guggenmos (Palmer, Alaska) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

13045Guggenmos is a 6'3", 204-pound quarterback who lettered a combined five years in football and baseball for Palmer High School. Guggenmos earned second team all-state and first team all-conference honors after completing 68% of his pass attempts for 1,179 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior. He was named the top quarterback in Alaska and was selected to play in both the All-American and Shriners Bowl. Guggenmos led his team to the state semifinals, finishing with a 6-3 record. An outstanding student and member of the honor roll, Guggenmos plans to major in Business and Sports Management at Northwestern. He is the son of Neil and Kara.

"Luke had a tremendous high school career," said Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. "He possesses good size, mobility and understands the game. Luke is a proven leader and loves to compete. We are excited to have Luke join our football team and look forward to the positive impact he will have on our team over the next four years."
