Game Time... Northwestern concludes the home portion of its regular season schedule as they host #15 University of Jamestown Wednesday night at the Bultman Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 8pm. The Red Raiders are tied with Dordt for fifth place in the current GPAC standings with a 10-8 record, 16-11 overall. Jamestown is in second place, one-half game up on Briar Cliff, at 13-5, 23-5 overall.Â

Steven Kragt scored a career-high 21 points in the Red Raiders 113-94 loss to the University of Jamestown played in North Dakota on Dec. 5.
Kragt missed just two shots, going 7-for-9 from the field and making a career-best four three-pointers en route to a 21-point effort.Â

After trading baskets early, Jamestown went on a 14-0 run to take the lead for good, 20-10, on nine-straight points scored by Kevin Oberweiser. A three-pointer by Small made it a seven-point game and then Kragt carried the load on the offensive end, scoring the Red Raiders next 10 points, to stay within contact, 31-23, at the nine-minute mark.Â
Still and eight point game (42-34), Jamestown used another big run, outscoring Northwestern 15-0, for a commanding 63-42 lead at the half. The Jimmies shot 60% from both the field and from the arc, knocking down 12-of-20 three-point attempts.Â
Forced to play catch-up during the final 20 minutes, Northwestern outscored the hosts 13-2 over the first four minutes to make it a 10-point game, 65-55. Small hit a pair of three-pointers and Hilbrands converted a three-point play to spark the NW run. The Red Raiders would not get any closer, however, and trailed by a double-digit margin for the entirety of the final half.Â
Northwestern shot 56% for the game, 57% (13/23) from the three-point line. The Red Raiders were outrebounded for just the second time this season, losing the battle of the boards 33-30.Â
Isaac Heyer pulled down seven rebounds, followed by both Hilbrands and Mulder with six.Â
Jamestown shot 57% for the game, 47% (14/30) from the three-point line. Four Jimmies' players scored 20+ points, led by Jon Purintun with 26. Oberweiser added 24 and both Terrell Alford and Isaiah Dobson scored 21.

The Jimmies have had a week off since their six-game win streak was snapped by Dordt, 97-94, in a game played in North Dakota last week. Prior to that, Jamestown ran off six straight wins, all over GPAC opponents, to climb into second place in the GPAC. They have a 1/2 game lead on third place Briar Cliff heading into the final week of the regular season and are ranked 15th in the NAIA.
Neville is in his fourth season as the head of the Jimmies program and returns two starters and eight players from a 2017-18 team that finished tied for second in the North Star Athletic Association at 9-7, 20-10 overall. They were picked ninth in their very first GPAC preseason coaches' poll.
