Tip-off at the Newman Flanagan Center in Sioux City, Iowa is scheduled for 6pm. The Red Raiders are tied with both Dordt and Morningside for third in the GPACÂ at 3-1, 7-1 overall. Briar Cliff is 1-3 and tied with both Mount Marty and Midland in the current GPAC standings, 2-6 overall.Â

The Chargers have lost two straight and six of their last seven games heading into Wednesday night's showdown. They have not played since a 74-55 loss to Dakota Wesleyan on Nov. 25 and lost to Dordt in the game prior to that. BCU's last win was a a 79-72 decision against Mount Marty on Nov. 20. They are 1-3 in the GPAC, 2-6 overall, owning a non-conference win against Dakota State in the first game of the year.
Long-time coach Mike Power is in his 20th season in two separate stints with the Chargers program. This is his 14th consecutive year on the bench, taking over in 2006-07. Power has guided Briar Cliff to nine national tournaments and returns two starters, five players from a 2018-19 team that finished eighth in the GPACÂ with a 9-13 record, 15-16 overall. They were picked ninth in the GPAC preseason poll.Â
