Game Time...Ranked teams are paired Wednesday night as top-ranked Northwestern hosts #17 Concordia in the final game of the regular season for both teams. First serve at the Bultman Center is scheduled for 7:30pm. Northwestern, who clinched the GPAC regular season title with a pair of wins last weekend, is 15-0 in the conference, 27-0 overall. The Bulldogs will finish third in the GPAC regular season and are 11-4 in the conference, 22-4 overall.

All-Time...Northwestern has a 40-11 advantage in the all-time series against Concordia, dating back to the 1991 season. Head Coach Kyle Van Den Bosch's squad is 8-2 over the last 10 matches and defeated the Bulldogs 3-0 in the only meeting last year.

The Bulldogs have secured third place in the GPAC regular season with an 11-4 league record, two games in back of Jamestown and two games up on both Dordt and Midland. They are 7-1 over their last eight matches, losing only to the Jimmies in five sets on Oct. 31 in Seward, Neb. Concordia is unbeaten (11-0) in non-conference play with its most impressive win against 19th-ranked Corban early in the season. 

Boldt is in his second year as the Bulldogs head coach, taking over the program in December of 2017 after serving as the head coach at Hendrix College (NCAA D-III) for two seasons. He returns seven starters, nine players, from a 2018 team that finished in a four-way tie for 7th place in the GPAC with a 5-11 record, 15-12 overall. Concordia was picked eighth in the preseason poll.

In their wins over both Doane and Hastings last weekend, Northwestern clinched the GPAC regular season title, its seventh under Head Coach Kyle Van Den Bosch. The Red Raiders are 15-0 in the GPAC, 27-0 overall, the fifth longest win streak and third best start in program history. They are 10-0 against teams ranked or receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' poll, including wins over top five teams; Grand View and Viterbo.
