Wins over York, Valley City State, Presentation and Dakota State have put the Lancers with a 4-0 record heading into their GPAC opener Tuesday night. Last time out, they edged Dakota State on a neutral floor, 81-77, behind a 19-point effort by Karlee McKinney. 

Schlimgen is in his second year as the Lancers head coach and 13th season as a coach within the program. He spent 11 years as an assistant and was also a high school coach in South Dakota. Schlimgen returns three starters, six players, from a 2018-19 team that finished tied with Jamestown for ninth place in the GPAC at 8-14, 15-14 overall.

They defeated both Presentation and Haskell at the Pizza Ranch Classic held at the Bultman Center last weekend and swept both Trinity Christian and Rochester at the Trolls Classic.
