Northwestern has a 4-1 record this season and has won its last three games. The Lancers are off to a 6-1 start to the 2019-20 season.

All-Time...Northwestern leads the all-time series 57-16 and has won 12 straight in the rivalry. The Red Raiders swept the Lancers last year, winning 102-63 in Yankton and 98-60 in Orange City.Â

The Lancers are off to their best start since the 2004-05 season and have won four straight games heading into Tuesday night's match-up against Northwestern. Mount Marty owns a 6-1 record and have rattled off wins against Presentation, Dakota State, Valley City State and Mayville State since losing its only game, 80-70, to York.Â
Lorensen is in his first season as the Lancers head coach after serving in the same role for one year at Buena Vista. He also spent time as the head of the Southwestern Comunity College and Iowa Wesleyan programs. Lorensen inhertis a Mount Marty team that returns three starters, nine players, from a 2018-19 team that finished 11th in the GPAC at 2-18, 6-23 overall. Mount Marty was picked to finish 11th in the GPAC preseason poll.
