The Red Raiders (6-3-1, 3-1 GPAC) host Dordt University (7-3-1, 4-0-1 GPAC) in a top matchup in the GPAC Wednesday night. Kickoff is at 5pm at the NWC Soccer Complex. 

Northwestern is riding a 3-match winning streak while Dordt is riding an 8-game unbeaten streak. Dordt holds the all-time advantage 20-9 but the Raiders have only lost once to the Defenders, a 4-0 loss in the 2017 regular season, since head coach Ben Karnish took over the program in 2013.  The Raiders are 8-1 since 2012 and are 2-0 in GPAC postseason matches against the Defenders. 

The Raiders are coming off a 1-0 overtime victory over Morningside College over the weekend after a game-winning goal by Brenna Rauwerdink.

NWC has scored 23 goals while only allowing 7 on the year. Northwestern has been lead by Nikky Farnsworth (6 goals, 1 assist), Emily Hurley (4 goals, 3 assists), Audrey Tacey (3 goals, 1 assist), and Tatiana Garcia (2 goals, 2 assists). 8 other NWC players have scored a goal or earned an assist for the Raiders.

Liz Foster has been a rock in net for the Raiders. She is leading the nation with a 0.17 Goals Against Average, only allowing 1 goal on the year, and has a 0.952 save percentage. She has been aided well by the back line consisting of Taelor Lamansky, Keslie Paul, Hannah Ten Pas, and Ashlee Speck.

Dordt is coming off a 4-1 win over the College of Saint Mary on Saturday. They are currently leading the GPAC with 13 points. 

Alaina Van Zalen is leading the Defenders on the attack as she has 8 goals and 2 assists on the year. Claire Jansen has 5 goals and 2 assists while Katherine Kooiman has 4 goals and 1 assist on the year. The Defenders have scored 28 goals on the year while allowing 24.

Goalkeeping duties have been split for most of ths season but DeLynne Zevenbergen has been the mainstay of late. She has allowed 10 goals against while making 26 saves, good enough foa 0.722 save percentage. She has also tallied 1 shutout on the year.
