Two Northwestern College players,
Anna Wedel and
Lacey Wacker, claimed weekly NAIA volleyball honors announced by the national office earlier today. This is the second time that both Wedel and Wacker earned the the national honor.

Wedel led the second-ranked Red Raiders to a pair of five-set wins over top 25 teams last week in GPAC play. She averaged 5.8 kills per set, hitting .445, in wins over No.22Â Dordt and No.8 Midland. Wedel added 22 digs and recorded double-doubles (kills/digs) in each match. In the win over Dordt, she hammered down a career high 32 kills, setting a single-match record (since rally scoring) in kills. She followed that up with 26 kills in the road win over Midland.Â
Wacker directed a Red Raider offense that hit .268 and averaged 14.1 kills per set in wins over No. 22 Dordt and No. 8 Midland. She had 11.8 assists and 2.8 digs per set, totaling a career-best 70 assists in her team's five-set win over Dordt. Wacker was also in on five blocks and leads the NAIA in assists per set.
Northwestern is 11-0 in the GPAC, 23-0 overall, and will host College of Saint Mary Wednesday night.Â
