Volleyball To Host College of Saint Mary

Game Time...Northwestern College continues its busy stretch of matches as they will host College of Saint Mary Wednesday night at the Bultman Center. First serve is scheduled at 7:30pm. The Red Raiders are currently in first place in the GPAC with an 11-0 record, 23-0 overall. CSM currently is in eighth place in the GPAC with a 5-6 record, 20-9 overall.

CSM has won two straight and five of its last six matches heading into Wednesday night's showdown against Northwestern. They currently are in eighth place in the GPAC standings with a 5-6 record, one game up on Hastings and 1/2 game in back of Morningside. The Flames are 20-9 overall are coming off back-to-back five-set wins over Midland and Dakota Wesleyan.

Pruett is in his third season as the head of the CSM volleyball program. A long time high school, collegiate and AAU coach, Pruett has accumulated over 900 wins combined throughout his career. Most recently, he was the coach at Dakota Valley High School where he led his team to multiple state championships. He also has coached at Morningside, leading the Mustangs to the GPAC title. Pruett returns 12 players from a 2018 team that finished tied for 10th in the GPAC at 4-12, 14-17 overall. They were picked 10th in the GPAC preseason poll.

Wednesday's match will be the Red Raiders fourth in a span of eight days as they continue with a busy stretch of matches. They are coming off wins over three ranked teams, defeating Dordt, Midland and Jamestown, the final two on the road. Northwestern has a 2.5 match lead atop the GPAC standings with an 11-0 record and five matches left in the regular season.
