Wrestling Goes 1-2 at GPAC Duals

The Red Raiders went 1-2 Saturday at the GPAC Duals with their lone victory coming against Dakota Wesleyan 49-3.

Northwestern started off the day with a bout against Midland University and started off the dual with a decision by Austin Boles. The Raiders would then lose six straight (two by decision, two by major decision, one tech fall, and one fall).

The Raiders would win two of their next three but it was too little too late and the Raiders would lose 28-11.

"It was a rough day," commented head coach Rik Dahl. "We will need to address some things and move forward. We have the talent: that is for sure. We just need to work through some injuries and overcome."

The Red Raiders take on Concordia University (Neb.) (8-3, 6-0 GPAC) Thursday, January 31 at 6pm at the Bultman Center. The Raiders (5-2, 4-2 GPAC) need to win to keep their conference championship hopes alive.
