Caroline Van Berkum
(Antonito, Colo.) has signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball career at Northwestern College this year.

Van Berkum is a 5'10" forward who lettered three years for Centauri High School. Van Berkum averaged 10.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and one assist in leading her team to a fifth-place finish at state with a 21-3 record. She was named to both the Colorado High School Coaches' Association (CHSCA) and Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports (CCGS) all-state teams and was named the co-player of the year as a senior. Van Berkum earned all-conference honors two years and All-Valley accolades after senior season. Also an outstanding student, she claimed Academic All-State honors and was a member of the National Honor Society. Van Berkum plans to major in math and education at Northwestern and is the daughter of David and Jane.

Chris Yaw. "She is a young lady of high-character and strong work ethic who will be a great fit in our program and on campus. Caroline is a strong presence around the basket, a solid rebounder and we look forward to her competitive spirit added to our team."
