Christensen To Join Red Raider Football

Brenden Christensen (Lenox, S.D.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Christensen is a 6'2", 190-pound tight end, kick returner and linebacker who played two years for Lenox High School. Christensen accounted for 70 tackles and two fumble recoveries in earning second team all-district honors as a senior. He nabbed 13 catches for 215 yards and four touchdowns, averaging over 16 yards per reception, while being named second team all-district at tight end. Christensen added a score as a returner was named the special teams player of the year. A member of the National Honor Society, Christensen plans to major in Biology/Health Professions at Northwestern. He is the son of Kurtis and Julie.

"Brenden has outstanding potential as a college football player," said Northwestern head coach Matt McCarty. "He had an impressive high school career in multiple sports and is a good athlete. We look forward to watching Brenden on the field over the next four years."
