Red Raiders To Begin Second Half Of Conference Slate Against DWU

Game Time...Northwestern College begins the second half of its GPAC schedule on Tuesday, April 17 with a doubleheader against Dakota Wesleyan at Christensen Field in Fremont, Neb. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 3pm. Northwestern is currently is tied with Morningside for first place in the GPAC with an 8-2 record, 23-6 overall, while Dakota Wesleyan is in seventh place with a 3-3 record, 6-18 overall.

All-Time...Northwestern is 30-8 all-time against DWU, dating back to the 1998 season, but has dropped four straight games and is 6-4 over the last 10. Last year, Northwestern was swept 8-3 and 4-3 in games played in Mitchell, S.D.

Since losing 10 straight in March, Dakota Wesleyan has won three of its last five, including a doubleheader sweep over Mount Marty last time out, 13-10 and 4-3 (9 innings). They are 6-18 overall and 3-3 in conference play, splitting games with Doane and losing a pair to Morningside.

Kieff returns five starters and 11 players from a 2017 team that finished tied for sixth in conference play with a 9-11 record, 20-34 overall. Kieff is the winningest coach in program history at DWU.
