Northwestern College blasted 10 home runs, including a school record seven in game one, in earning a non-conference doubleheader sweep over Waldorf tonight in Orange City. The Red Raiders earned a 9-1 (6 innings) in game one and came back with a 10-2, five-inning win in game two. Northwestern has won seven straight games and improved to 20-5 overall.Â

Game One:
      Northwestern established a school record with seven home runs in its 9-1, six-inning win in game one. The seven home runs matches the second most all-time in a single game in the NAIA, last done by Georgetown (Ky.) in 2016, and three shy of the NAIA record of 10 (Central Baptist in 2011).Â

Cheyenne Wilcke and
Jessica Sandbulte both hit a pair of home runs and
Jensen Boger,
Amanda Everhart and
Kayla Tindall all went yard once.
      Tindall (9-3) earned the win, giving up five hits and one run while striking out five in six innings. The senior ended the game with a walkoff solo home run with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
      The Red Raiders scored a run in each of the first two innings on solo home runs by Sandbulte and Boger for a 2-0 lead. Both teams went scoreless in the third and Waldorf cut the lead in half with a run in the fourth off consecutive hits by Kennedy Vinchattle and Payge Jurgens.
      Solo home runs by Wilcke and Sandbulte in the fourth and fifth innings pushed the Red Raiders lead to 4-1 and the Red Raiders blew the game open with a five run sixth.
Emily Bosch led off with a double and Boger was hit by a pitch while both player scored on Wilcke's three-run home run. Everhart followed with a solo shot and Tindall then ended the game two batters later with her walkoff.Â
      Everhart went 3-for-3 with a run and RBI while Wilcke (2-3, 4 RBI), Tindall (2-4, RBI) and Sandbulte (2-3, 2 runs, 2 RBIs) all had two hits.
      Waldorf was led by Vinchattie with two hits and Madison Mason had an RBI. Kaylie Brindley (7-7) took the loss, giving up all nine runs in 5.2 innings.

Emma Schnell earned her 10th consecutive win and Northwestern pounded out 14 hits in its 10-2 game two victory. Schnell gave up four hits and one earned run while striking out six to improve to 10-1 on the year.Â
      Leading 4-2, consecutive home runs by Tindall, Bosch and Boger highlighted the Red Raiders six-run fifth inning to end the game early. Wilcke narrowly missed a fourth straight home run as she greeted Waldorf relief pitcher McKenna Marcinkowski with a double that hit the top half of the leftfield fence on the fly.
Amber Schubert and
Madison Beaver followed with singles and came around to score after a walk to Everhart and a wild pitch. Sandbulte then ended the game with a double to right centerfield.Â
     Six different Red Raiders totaled two hits each in the game two win, led by Boger (2-3, 2 RBIs), who has now hit safely in 10 straight games. Beaver (2-3, 2 runs), Everhart (2-3, 2 RBIs), Tindall (2-3, RBI), Bosch (2-3, 2 RBI) and Wilcke (2-3) were the other top offensive players.Â
