Northwestern went 1-1 over the weekend after beating beating Simpson College 8-1 in Des Moines, Iowa Friday and losing to Central College 7-2 in Pella, Iowa. They are now 3-9 overall and open up conference play April 7th at the College of Saint Mary.

"We had a couple of specific areas we wanted to improve in and we did that this weekend," commented Head Coach Jeff Guthmiller. "Overall, I am very happy with how we played both days."
