Red Raiders Look To Bounce Back Against Lancers

Game Time...After losing for the first time in the 2018 calendar year against No.2 Concordia last time out, Northwestern looks to bounce back with a home game against Mount Marty Wednesday night, Feb. 6. Tip-off at the Bultman Center is scheduled for 6pm. Northwestern, now ranked ninth in the NAIA D-II poll, is tied with Dakota Wesleyan for second place in the GPAC with a 13-3 record, 18-6 overall. Mount Marty is currently ninth in the GPAC at 3-14, 12-14 overall.

All-Time...Northwestern holds a 55-22 all-time advantage in the rivalry against Mount Marty and is 7-3 over the last 10 match-ups. They have won three straight, including a season sweep against MMC last year and a 79-52 win on the road earlier this season.

The Lancers have lost three of their last four games to fall back to ninth in the current GPAC standings with three conference games remaining. They are 3-14 in the GPAC, 12-14 overall, and have lost to both Dakota Wesleyan and Midland by 20+ points. Mount Marty is 3-7 since the new year, defeating Dakota State, College of Saint Mary and Doane.

Schlimgen is in his 10th season as the Lancer's head coach and returns one starter and seven players from a 2016-17 team that just missed out on postseason play, finishing tied for eighth in the GPAC with a 7-13 record, 13-17 overall.
