Carson Marco (
Sibley, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his track and field career at Northwestern College next year.
Marco was a multi-sports standout who ran four years for the Sibley Ocheyedan High School track and field team. Marco, a 2016 graduate for the Generals, qualified for state all four years, finishing fifth in the shuttle hurdle relay as a senior and eighth as a sophomore. He was part of two relays (4x400m and shuttle hurdle) that hold school records and has a personal best of 15.53 in the 110m hurdles. Marco was also a three-time letterwinner in both basketball and football and plans to major in elementary education at Northwestern. He is the son of Curt and Jennifer.
"We are excited to have Carson join the hurdle crew for our men's track and field team," commented Northwestern head coach
Scott Bahrke. "He had a standout high school career and will continue to improve under coach Vander Ploeg. Carson will also help us in the 200m and 400m races."
