Nathan Herrera (Omaha, Neb.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next year.

Herrera is a 6'1", 275-pound offensive/defensive lineman who had a standout three-year career playing for Burke High School. Herrera helped lead his team to a third-place finish at the state tournament with a 9-3 overall record. He was named to the all-metro team as a junior and tied the school record for pancake blocks in one game. Herrera plans to major in education at Northwestern and is the son of Mike and Kara.

"We are thrilled that Nathan has chosen to be part of our Red Raider football program," said Northwestern head coach Matt McCarty. "He comes from an outstanding high school program at Burke where he played on some great teams and in some big games. Nathan will do great things up front for us over the course of his four-year career."
