Game Time...10th-ranked Northwestern opens postseason play Wednesday night at home against Dordt College in one of four GPAC quarterfinal match-ups. Tip-off at the Bultman Center is scheduled for 6pm. Northwestern finished the regular season tied with Dakota Wesleyan for second with a 16-4 record and earned the No.2 seed due to tie-breaking procedures. They are 21-7 overall. Dordt finished seventh in the GPAC regular season with an 8-12 record, 14-16 overall.

All-Time...Northwestern holds a 68-20 all-time advantage in the rivalry against Dordt (since the 1976-77 season) and won both match-ups played earlier this season. The Red Raiders are 3-2 over the last five and 7-3 over the last 10.
Previously Against Dordt...Northwestern went 2-0 against the Defenders in the regular season, earning a 73-68 home win on Dec. 6 and a 101-61 win on Jan.31 in Sioux Center.

The Defenders earned a 51-38 road win over Briar Cliff last weekend to earn the No.7 seed in the GPAC Tournament, finishing with an 8-12 record, 14-16 overall. They closed the regular season with a 3-2 record, defeating Doane, Nebraska Christian and the Chargers while losing to ranked teams, Hastings and Morningside.
Lindbergh takes over as the interim head coach for one season before Bill Harmsen, the current athletic director and head boys coach at Western Christian High School, takes over next season. Lindbergh, a former All-American for the Defenders' men's basketball team, inherits a squad that returns one starter and seven players from a 2016-17 team that finished 10th in the GPAC (5-15), 13-17 overall
