On The Mound
Raphael DeHoyos had the start for the Raiders and completed 4 1/3 innings giving up five runs, four strikeouts, and only one walk.Â
Josh Lucken came in relief of DeHoyos and finished the 5th inning without allowing any baserunners.Â
Preslee Moy Pitched a clean 6th inning with one strikeout. Grandview had a strong performance by starter Parker Thode who went 6 innings, two runs allowed, seven strikeouts, and two walks. Bailey Scott pitched in the 7th to pick up a save.
At The Plate
Reed Smith went 1 for 3 on the day with two RBI's driving in
Mark Primrose and
David Rowley. Rowley had the Raiders only extra base hit. Leading the way for Grandview was Dustin Nelson and Jimmy Anderson both delivering with two hits apiece. Anderson led the way with two RBI's.
Game 2- Northwestern College 5
              Graceland University 2
On The Mound
Noah McBride made his first career collegiate start and it was a good one. McBride went a complete game; allowing three hits, two runs, one walk, and 12 strikeouts. McBride had a perfect game through 4 innings until giving up a solo homerun in the 5th. Graceland starter Drew Carlson went 5 innings, allowing three hits, five runs, five walks, and four strikeouts.
At The Plate
Matt Martin went 2 for 3 for the Raiders with one RBI. Also
Dustin Gaither added one hit, while walking two times.
Britton Yoder and
Reed Smith each scored two runs in the game. For Graceland Corey Harell led the way with one hit which happened to be a solo homerun. That is Harell's 3rd homerun of the season.
