Kip Cullinan (
Urbandale, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Northwestern College Next fall.

Cullinan is a 6'0" first baseman who has played four years for the Urbandale High School baseball team heading into his final season next summer. Last season, Cullinan led the team with a .400 batting average in 121 plate appearance, helping Urbandale to the 4A state title with a 36-6 overall record. Cullinan accounted for 13 runs, six doubles, and 24 RBIs while landing second team all-conference honors. An outstanding student, Cullinan was named academic all-conference and is a member of both the honor roll and National Honor Society. Kip intends to major in Biology- Health Professions and is the son of Chris and Sara.
"Kip is one of the best hitters in the state and we are thrilled that he is joining us," stated head coach
Brian Wede. "He posted the highest batting average for the 4A State Champions and only struck out six times in 121 plate appearances. On top of that, Kip is a tremendous student and great young man who we think can be a leader not only on our team, but on our campus."Â
