Dylan Kirkeby (
Brandon, South Dakota) has signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Northwestern College beginning in the fall of 2019.
Kirkeby is a 6'2" pitcher who helped lead Brandon Valley High School to the 2018 Class A State Championship. Kirkeby threw six strong innings in the state semifinal, giving up two runs, three hits, and five strikeouts against defending champion Roosevelt. Last season, Kirkeby totaled 56 strikeouts in 39.1 innings and posted a 0.35 earned run average, earning both all-state and all-region honors. For his career, Kirkeby has 192 strikeouts in 157 innings with a 2.18 earned run average heading into his final season next summer. Kirkeby received academic award of Excellence two years and plans to major in Math at Northwestern. He is the son of Al and Wilma.
