Danner To Play Basketball at Northwestern

Emilee Danner (Westside, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball career at Northwestern College next year.

11577Danner is a multi-sports standout who has played three-years for the Ar-We-Va High School basketball team heading into her final season. A first team all-state selection (Iowa Press Sports Writers Association), Danner ranked fifth in class 1A in scoring, averaging 20 points per game. She also ranked third in class 1A in steals (121), blocks (46) and averaged 6.7 rebounds to go with four assists per game. Danner earned first team all-conference honors for the third straight year was named the conference player of the year by KMAland. She has scored 937 career points and is also an Omaha World Herald and Denison Bulletin and Review first team all-area selection. A member of the National Honor Society, Danner plans to major in Biology / Health Professions at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Todd and Amy.

"Emilee is a talented young lady academically, relationally and on the basketball court and we look forward to her impact on our campus and team. Emilee is a competitor that has impacted games with her high school team and in the summer with her length defensively and her ability to score the ball.  Emilee, and her family, are great people and we look forward having them be part of the Red Raiders."
