The Red Raiders went 2-1 on the day at the Bronco Duals in Hastings, Nebraska Saturday. The Raiders tallied dual wins against GPAC foe Hastings College and York College (Neb.) and dropped a dual to Southern Oregon University, the 13th ranked team in the nation.
The day started off with a GPAC Conference matchup where the Raiders started off with a 10-0 lead after a forfeit win for
Sam Klarenbeek and a Major decision by Jacob Hergott but the next three matches saw
Eli Dahl lose by a Tech Fall and
Dante Preciado and
Daniel Zeleny lose decisions putting the Raiders down 11-10.

The Raiders then rode a 4 match win streak, two of which by forfeit, to go up 29-11. The Raiders would improve to 3-0 in the GPACÂ after the 29-17 win.
Northwestern's second dual against Southern Oregon was a tough test coming off the break. The brightest spot from the 36-9 loss was a gutsy battle by
Cole Mills. Cole was able to grind out an 8-6 overtime win.Â
The Raiders would end out the Bronco duals with a 42-12 win even though the majority of the duals were forfeits.Â
"We did not wrestle to our full potential as a team," commented Head Coach
Rik Dahl. "We were hesitant at times and struggled to work out things together. That being said, we had some guys that wrestled really well and took advantage of opportunities."
Brandon Shuler lead the Raiders on the day going 3-0 and both
Andrew Null and Jacob Hergott went 2-0.Â
