Red Raiders To Play No.15 Dickinson State For Home Opener

Game Time...Northwestern College will host No.15 Dickinson State (N.D.) for its home opener on Saturday, Sept. 9. Kickoff at DeValois Stadium is scheduled for 1pm. Both teams come into Saturday's match-up unbeaten as the Red Raiders are 1-0 while the Blue Hawks are 2-0. All-Time...The Red Raiders lost the only previous match-up against Dickinson State 42-13 played last year in Dickinson, N.D. The Blue Hawks scored 21 straight points from late in the second quarter to midway through the third to break open a close game. Kaler Ray threw for 332 yards and two scores and Tray Boone scored a pair of rushing touchdowns and was on the receiving end of another to lead DiSU offense. The Blue Hawks defense forced three NW turnovers and was led by Rob Sterling with 8.5 tackles. 

J.C. Koerselman scored on a pair of one-yard touchdown runs for the Red Raiders and Kyle Van Ginkel (5 tackles)  and Tanner Machacek (4.5 stops) were the leaders on defense.
